The Process

Apply
Complete our brief waitlist application and tell us about your home and what you’re looking for.

Get acquainted
We talk through the breed, your questions, and which litter or kitten could be the right match.

Reserve
A firm deposit and a deposit agreement confirm your position on the waitlist.

Gotcha Day
Around 12 weeks, your kitten goes home vet-checked, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully prepared.

We place kittens in the best possible homes, and ask prospective families and friends to complete a brief application.

If you have familiarity with the breed, a former or current owner of a Maine Coon, that’s great. If not, please let us know how you have researched the breed, what’s most important to you in a feline companion, and what you can offer to a kitten placed in your care.

We do conduct vet or personal reference checks, but this part of the process does not take place until we have a commitment to adopt. Your direct permission to contact references is required before moving forward (you will need to authorize your current vet to speak to me), and we are always happy to provide feedback from previous families, when requested.

Please provide contact information for your vet. We will NOT contact your veterinarian until your application is approved. At that time, we contact you to obtain your verbal and written permission to release information.

Our kittens are placed as companions to be spayed or neutered, with TICA or CFA registration papers provided on proof of spay/neuter. Do you understand and agree? *
